Choose a recipe and take the picture - Select a recipe you like that can be made in two steps - mix the dry ingredients, then add basic wet ingredients. Gingerbread and chocolate chip cookies work well for this, as do many coffee cakes.Prepare the recipe you'll use and take an attractive picture of the finished baked goods.

Make a print - Take your picture to a nearby KODAK Picture Maker and follow the on-screen directions to Select the size you want 3 1/2" x 5". Scan your original picture. You can use the Add Text function to label your picture with the recipe's name, like "Ginny's Gingerbread" or "Mary's Marvelous Chocolate Chip Cookies." Then Print your picture. You'll get four 3 1/2" x 5" pictures on each KODAK Picture Maker sheet. Be sure to print enough for your holiday gift needs.

Assemble the ingredients - Sort as many clean Mason-style jars and lids as you'll need, plus the recipe's dry ingredients. One by one, measure the dry ingredients into the jars, making layers with colours and textures (i.e., flour, brown sugar, chopped nuts, chocolate chips). Fill any extra space at the top of the jars with tissue paper.

Create the recipe cards - Trim your pictures of the finished treat and glue them to tags made of coloured construction paper. On the back of the tag, include the last steps for your recipe. For example, "Mix dry ingredients with 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Enjoy!"

Decorate the jar - Cut out a 6" circle from the printed cotton fabric. Attach a coordinating coloured ribbon or raffia to your photo tag. Tie the fabric to the top of the sealed jar and your gift is ready.
